Will You Help Us With a Christmas Miracle?

Para Español

Dear Friends,
I want to thank you once again for being a faithful and privileged giver to this wonderful mission so close to the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ. You have sown significant gifts in the Lord’s kingdom.

These are challenging and financially stressed times. The majority of us supporting Heartbeat of Miami on a monthly basis are not able to write big checks because we live our financial lives on monthly budgets. Yet, the Lord has provided for us to be significant givers and we have helped move this ministry forward.

Over time, it is our Heart for Life Monthly Partners (those who give any amount on a monthly basis) that have taken over the majority of the top 10% major givers! We can be significant, faithful and effective in helping Heartbeat of Miami continue to do the mission of saving innocent babies and transforming the lives of their mothers, fathers and their family to the Glory of God!

This past year we have had another amazing year of ministry. With your support, we have been able to serve over 25,000 women and couples and help save over 10,000 babies since we opened our doors in July 2007. Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics is one of the most impactful life saving ministries in the United States....and you are a very special part of it.

We are not only saving women and babies’ lives; we have the wonderful opportunity to offer the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we approach the end of the year, we are short of our budget for 2012 and we need your help in order to continue to provide this life-saving and life-changing support. Your special year-end gift now will be extremely helpful to us to do the work God has called us to do. If possible, please click here to use our safe electronic giving which is more cost effective to our mission. Thank you in advance for your generosity and we bless you in the mighty name of Jesus!

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:14

Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2013!

Queridos Amigos,

Lucas 2:14

Gender Selection in our own Backyard

Para Español

There should be no boundaries to help save a baby and the soul of a mother. We have a Mission Field in our back yard and often times we miss the calling to be missionaries. You must be aware that right here in our neighborhood, women are being pressured to abort their baby due to discrimination AGAINST their gender just like in many foreign countries.

Romila is a perfect example of horrible GENDER GENOCIDE. A professor from India teaching at one of our local universities here in Miami, Romila wanted to complete her family with a baby boy. She and her husband Amil had a beautiful 7 year old daughter. Romila’s life was perfect in every way. Until one day, when she found out she was finally pregnant. Her Indian culture demands for a couple to have a boy because according to them, boys are the ones that provide the financial security and protect the family. At 14 weeks into her pregnancy, Romila went to see her OB/GYN (who happened to be Dr. Christy Peña a strong advocate for life and one of Heartbeat of Miami's Board Members). Romila and Amil were sure they were having the boy they so desperately wanted. However, when Dr. Peña informed them they were having a girl, Amil was very upset and said to Romila, “This will be a shame for our family, you cannot have this girl and must abort.” Romila cried with Dr. Peña and told her that she could not have the baby because Amil and both of their families would reject her and would be a disgrace.

At that point, Dr. Peña asked Romila if she would consider speaking to us at the Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinic for further counseling before she made a final decision. Romila agreed and Dr. Peña and all of us started to pray. Romila came to our Hialeah Clinic where Leslie, our ultrasound technician, listened to her with love and understanding. Romila did not want an abortion but there was nothing she could do about it.  Leslie performed an ultrasound and her beautiful baby girl raised her little hand and waved. It was a moment where God connected the dots and the love of a mother became greater than the pressure of a man. She broke down and so did Leslie. Both hugged and Leslie explained how much the Lord Jesus Christ loved her and that He brought her to us. Leslie shared with her that God knew her baby girl even before she was formed in her womb. Our Lord touched Romila’s heart and she asked Leslie, “Please tell me about your God and about your faith. I want to believe.” Leslie shared the love of Christ. There was repentance and forgiveness when Romila accepted the sacrifice Jesus did on the cross for all of our sins asking Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. Now she felt ready to face her husband. We offered to be by her side. We prayed for the Lord to touch Amil with love and compassion for his unborn little girl.

Amil came to the clinic and Romila boldly told him she was not having an abortion. She said he could leave if he wanted to but she loved her tiny baby as much as her other daughter. We invited him to see the baby on the ultrasound and God touched Amil’s heart just like we prayed and he broke down in tears telling Romila; “I do not want you go through any risks, we are having our daughter.” That was a day of miracles, because not only the baby girl was rescued from abortion, but two souls were rescued for Jesus Christ our Lord. They chose to be an outcast to their families rather than killing their unborn baby because she was a girl. Our Lord is mighty and this couple recognized Him as they decided to trust the One and Only True God.

On August 24, 2012, Dr. Peña delivered Romila’s and Amil’s baby. Little Ina came into the world and wrapped her daddy around her little finger. Leslie and Jeanne were also present rejoicing in the miracle of LIFE! Glory to God!  “The LORD called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name.” Isaiah 49:1 This little Indian girl has a very special purpose in God’s Kingdom.

I pray this amazing story touches your heart. This is another one of thousands of babies rescued at Heartbeat of Miami. This is what happens when people work together for ONE CAUSE! You can also play a very important part in our stories. Your support will make it possible for us to have our clinics, our ultrasound technicians, our ultrasounds, our counselors, our ministry.

It gets very discouraging sometimes because obviously we do not get the millions of dollars Planned Parenthood (#1 abortion provider in the world) gets from our Government as well as from very wealthy donors. However, even though we struggle to obtain financial support, our faithful donors and the sacrifice of our staff and volunteers make it possible for us to continue one more day. We live on our daily bread and on our knees praying to stay open through these very difficult times. But I assure you it is worth every sacrifice, every tear, every struggle…for the sake of a baby, a soul. Can you imagine thousands? That is what we have done!

Please prayerfully consider becoming a monthly giver. You are not the Government and perhaps not a wealthy donor…but you are men and women of God who understand that Heartbeat of Miami is the Heart of our Lord and He has placed us here to do this work…that none shall perish. Please give today! Your support helps us save and transform lives for Christ. Thank you!

Queridos Amigos,

¡Gloria a Dios!

¡Gracias!

¡A El sea la gloria!

Isaiah Captures Our Heart

September 2012

Para Español

Dear Friends,

Being part of Heartbeat of Miami gives me an opportunity to experience amazing life saving work on a daily basis. As much as I would like to express in my own words the beautiful stories, I fall short of relaying how God is glorified with each life saved and each life transformed. This ministry is so close to the heart of our Lord. Nothing is more important to God than the rescuing of innocent lives. That is why He gave His life on Calvary for you and for me.

Lydia came to the North Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinic in January 2010 for a pregnancy test. She was married and already had four children. Because of her age, Lydia was high risk and vulnerable. Our ultrasound confirmed that she was almost 9 weeks pregnant. We referred her to one of our physicians for pre-natal care but she was transferred to a high-risk doctor for several tests. At this point, Lydia did not know what was going on. However, the doctors suspected something and the blood work detected there was a very strong possibility that her baby was Down Syndrome. At that very moment, Lydia’s heart sank and instead of support, all she heard was “Abort now while it is still early because most likely the baby will not make it and if he does, there will be a lot of complications.” Lydia and her husband believed in the sanctity of human life. Yet, they knew the months ahead would be hard.

At every doctor’s appointment, they tried to convince her that abortion would be the best thing. “Why would you want to go through this? You already have four healthy children!” Those were the words she would hear over and over again. Lydia and her husband continued to pray and ask God for strength. They came back to our clinic. She knew that we would be there to encourage her, to embrace her and to pray with her. Lourdes, our ultrasound technician, sat with Lydia and lovingly gave her facts about Down Syndrome babies. Over 90% of pregnancies with a pre-natal diagnosis of Down Syndrome are aborted (a meta-analysis concludes that 92% worldwide are terminated), according to studies provided by Dr. Brian Skotko of Children’s Hospital in Boston.

Oh how I praise God that Heartbeat of Miami is a voice for the voiceless! Lourdes shared with Lydia how these precious babies were God’s gifts to our world. There are thousands of people out there that are willing to adopt these babies. Did you know that Down Syndrome children do not have an understanding of malice? They love, they trust and even when they are hurt, their extra chromosome enables them to forgive and forget.

Well, Lydia and Mel became the proud parents of Baby Isaiah on July 22, 2010. Yes, indeed he was Down Syndrome but more important than that, Isaiah was the cutest baby in that hospital. Oh how this family welcomed this precious child! From the moment he was born, he won the hearts of his parents, brothers and sisters. Isaiah also captured our heart. Isaiah celebrated his 2nd birthday last month and he is as healthy as healthy can be! He is fun, he is witty, he is a bundle of joy and their home is filled with giggles, with laughter, peace and God’s presence. Baby Isaiah has a lot to do with it.

Two days ago he came back to our clinic to pose for pictures and for a video that will touch your heart. All the time he was there he just wanted to play “pick-a-boo” with me and grab my face for a kiss. I praise the Lord for the opportunity to see these beautiful stories unfold. Our wonderful God chose you and me to be a part of such wonder, such love, and such amazing grace! I am so grateful to God for you because your support makes all of this happen. This is Isaiah’s video.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”

Psalm 139:14

Please share our mission with others. It is only through the faithful support of God’s people that we are able to do this work. These past five years of serving the community of Miami-Dade County has been difficult, but I must say that it has been the most rewarding five years of my life!

Do you realize what a blessing you are to Heartbeat of Miami? Please prayerfully consider becoming a monthly giver. You can be assured that every single penny donated to this wonderful ministry goes further than what you can even imagine! I cannot express in a newsletter what you all mean to me and to this ministry that is so close to the heart of God.

May our Lord bless you abundantly as you have blessed us.

2012 septiembre

Queridos Amigos,

Lydia regreso a nuestra clínica.

¿Te das cuenta qué bendición eres para Heartbeat of Miami?

“Te alabaré, porque formidables y maravillosas son tus obras;
Salmo 139:14

¡A El sea la gloria!

A New Baby and A New Life

August 2012

Para Español

Dear Friends,

In a moment of desperation a woman without support can make a devastating choice...such as ending the life of her unborn baby. This month's story will touch your heart as it touched all of us at Heartbeat of Miami.

Gianina found herself in a hopeless situation just like many of the women that come to our clinics. Her boyfriend left her the moment he found out she was pregnant. Gianina did not have anyone's support and even found herself homeless. Abortion was the only way out. She was also concerned because she had been using drugs.

To God's glory, she walked into one of our clinics. Even though her mind was pretty much made up about having an abortion, the Holy Spirit of God, our love and an ultrasound helped her choose life.

She was 14 weeks pregnant and the image of a beautiful baby boy showed up on the ultrasound screen. The baby's heartbeat and Gianina's weeping broke the silence in the room. A glimpse of hope covered her heart. Staring back at her was the image of this baby ready to be loved by her. Our counselor told her she was the only person in this world that could protect this tiny baby and that no one could force her to abort. The Lord without a doubt touched her heart through the words of our counselor, Claudia. "This is the beginning of a new life for you and God has sent this child to help turn your life around." Gianina chose life and chose to trust God. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and her life started to change. We assured her we would be there for her every step of the way.

Gianina was placed in a shelter but it was only temporary because her family, friends and even the baby's daddy came around to offer their support. This past April 28th, baby Thomas Elijah was born in the presence of God and his daddy who was holding Gianina's hand all through the delivery. Thomas was able to experience the joy of his son's birth.

Both Thomas and Gianina are grateful to God and Heartbeat of Miami. What a blessing to see this tremendous transformation in the life of this couple. Gianina has never used drugs again since the first day she came to our clinic. She is now full of joy and hope for this new opportunity God has given both of them with their baby.

It is my prayer that you would help us by getting involved in our mission. It is through the faithfulness of God's people that we are able to do His work. Would you consider today becoming a monthly partner? Ask the Lord how much to give...He will guide you. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights." James 1:17

On July 9th, Heartbeat of Miami celebrated 5 years of serving our community. As of today, we have had 21,275 visits of women seeking help. They received love, support and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are here by God's grace and the faithful prayers and support of people just like you. Thank you and God bless you.

Watch Gianina share her moving story below.

2012 agosto

Queridos Amigos,

Thomas y Gianina están agradecidos a Dios y a Heartbeat of Miami.

Santiago 1:17

The Faith of a Father

June 2012

Para Español

Dear Friends,

When Gina came to our Hialeah Clinic last July with her husband Vit, she was determined to have an abortion.

They already had two children and could not make ends meet. On the other hand, Vit was distraught at the thought of terminating the life of their baby. Even though they were in a financial hardship, Vit had faith and stated "God never makes mistakes." However, Gina was being pressured with the reality of the economic crisis everyone faces today. Gina cried all through the counseling session while Vit silently listened. He knew what his wife was saying was true but his heart was filled with faith and knew God would somehow provide for them.

Gina went for the ultrasound to confirm a viable pregnancy while Vit waited outside. Leslie, our ultrasound technician had the opportunity to speak to Gina about God's perfect plan for her life, her family and for the baby in her womb. Before Leslie proceeded with the ultrasound, Gina asked if Vit could come in the room. Leslie agreed but Vit said he did not want to be any part of an abortion. Leslie assured him abortion was never an option at Heartbeat of Miami. To everyone's amazement two perfect little babies appeared on the ultrasound screen. Vit and Gina were expecting twins. Leslie was
speechless. This has happened at our clinics many times. One baby saves the other. Jesus touched Gina's heart and she was transformed. "Oh God, I believe in You. I know You will never abandon me, please forgive me for almost killing my babies." Vit dropped to his knees lifting up his hands to the Lord and thanking God for twins.

They returned to our clinic to give thanks and to pick up the baby items we had for them to help out with their baby expenses. Vit was happy to share that God had provided for all of their needs. He said, "that is His promise you know." Yes...we know. We see it every day but we do not take God's provision for granted. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord  "plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and future." Jeremiah 29:11

Thanks to the financial support of many faithful people, we are able to help these babies in danger of being aborted. Through that support, God used Heartbeat of Miami to rescue Nathan and Natalie and thousands of other babies already rescued. Looking back we realized that more than 56 sets of twins that were going to be aborted in one of the many abortion businesses in Miami-Dade County were saved at our Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics. Glory to God! Please continue to support this winsome ministry. Any amount will help us save lives. Please click here to give a gift today. God bless you!

This Father's Day we honor Vit and all those fathers out there that have cried out to God for their babies!

2012 junio

Queridos Amigos,

¡Gloria a Dios!

Celebrating the Miracle of Life

December 2011

Para Español lea hacia abajo

Dear Friends,

We see miracles every day at our Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics. In the past 4½ years, we have had more than 17,000 visits of women seeking our services. Over 75% find themselves in a crisis pregnancy at risk of aborting their baby. Often times, they are pressured by the words of a boyfriend, husband or parents to have an abortion. They feel scared, alone and don't know what to do to "fix" their situation.

Heartbeat of Miami may be the only voice these women hear that says, "You can have this baby and we are here to help you through this crisis."

As we look at this past year and look at the coming year, we are thankful to God and to you for your support that makes all of this possible. The vital work that we do with women who are facing a crisis pregnancy is only possible through your financial gifts and monthly support. We are so thankful for your prayers and support!

But what if we weren't here? Where would these girls, these women, go to find hope in their situation? Most of them have an abortion business right in their neighborhood. Consider Ailyn's story...

Ailyn and her husband Jose came to our Hialeah clinic seeking an abortion. Ailyn had suffered a thrombosis when pregnant with her 2 year old daughter and her doctor advised her that any future pregnancy would have to be aborted due to her medical history.

Our test confirmed a pregnancy and we did an ultrasound to determine the gestational age. Ailyn wept at the sight of her eight-week old baby. We asked Jose to come in and see their baby as well. They listened to the baby's strong, clear heartbeat. Suddenly, right before our eyes, the child leaped in Ailyn's womb and the couple was in awe. It reminded us of the Scripture in Luke 1:41 "At the sound of Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit." The Lord touched this couple's heart that very moment and Ailyn told Jose, "Our baby wants to live. We must trust God."

Jose was still very worried and afraid of losing his wife. He feared her life was in danger if they kept the baby. Leslie immediately contacted our Medical Director, Dr. Mary J. O'Sullivan for a second opinion. Our doctor referred them to go to The University of Miami for further care. Before Jose and Ailyn left our clinic, Leslie had the opportunity to pray for them and for their baby.

About 9 months later Ailyn came to our Clinic with Baby Ryan in her arms and a big smile on her face. She had not suffered any of the potential complications during her pregnancy or delivery. She shared with us that after their ultrasound at our Hialeah clinic she and Jose were convinced that they could not end the life of their baby.

The miracles we see unfold before us every day are life-saving and life-changing. Jesus came as a precious baby to give us the gift of Eternal Life. With His love and compassion He empowers us to touch the lives of those in need...

Heartbeat of Miami needs a miracle this Christmas...You can help this miracle happen!

Our funds are dangerously low right now, and frankly, we could use a miracle of our own. Would you please consider giving us a special Christmas gift today? Your generous gift of any amount, $50, $100, $200, $500, $1000 or more will help us enter 2012 boldly and stronger. Whatever amount your gift is, it is greatly appreciated and will allow us to continue our work. Please give by donating online, calling 305-863-2155 with your credit or debit card information, or mailing a check to 301 Westward Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with miracles!

P.S. As we come to the end of 2011, will you consider making a special year-end gift? We have no other source of funds. Your gift will result in thousands of miracles for women in 2012 and you will literally help save the lives of thousands of babies! In order to receive tax deductions for your 2011 donations, checks must be postmarked by December 31st. Online gifts must be made by midnight, December 31, 2011.

2011 diciembre

Queridos Amigos,

The Power of Being Forgiven & Set Free

November 2011

Para Español

Dear Friends,

I want to share with you a powerful letter I received from a woman who suffered an abortion and is now forgiven and set free.

Dear Martha,

I took the liberty of writing this letter to thank God publicly for the opportunity He has given me to complete the "Forgiven and Set-Free" post abortion recovery course with Heartbeat of Miami. This has been a great blessing in my life.

I am also thankful to the staff of Heartbeat of Miami for being obedient to the calling of the Holy Spirit of God and take the challenge of opening these two Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics which have been a light in the midst of so much darkness. I want to recognize three women from this amazing organization that facilitated the course and helped me through the healing process. Jeanne Pernia, Claudia Lopez and Maria Salas. These women are filled with God's Spirit and His love. He used them and this course to bring to light everything that had been hidden for so many years.

The course exceeded all my expectations and once again, God surprised me. God is good! Throughout every chapter, He showed me things that I could not remember and He used every experience to complete my healing, deliverance and acceptance. I have been so blessed that I felt the need to share because I know someone reading this testimony needs to receive healing from a past abortion. Many people know about the work Heartbeat of Miami does of saving babies lives and helping the moms. But perhaps many do not know of the other lives they are helping. Women like me that have suffered the pain and shame of an abortion.

I was able to accept God's forgiveness and I was also able to forgive, especially myself. I had repented in the past, and I knew of God's forgiveness of sins. However, it was His redeeming love that I received during the chapter of forgiveness

I received healing in my womb. God told me that my womb was healed. He did this through the scripture Matthew 10:12-13. My womb was dry and withered and just like Jesus healed the hand of that man on the Sabbath, He healed my womb. The Lord gave me a promise that I will conceive a child once again. I will have a baby!

I was able to share my abortion with my mother. I aborted my child because I felt shame and fear. I thought my mother would never accept my pregnancy. She was very strict and I was single at that time. I hid my sexual sin by aborting my baby. After sharing it with my mother she cried and held me. There was a beautiful restoration between us. I had my abortion 18 years ago and in 18 years, I had not been able to tell my mother that I loved her. After sharing my painful experience, we held each other and I told her of all the love I had in my heart for her.

My life and my attitude towards life has changed so much with the healing I have received. For years I had a very critical spirit. I was constantly finding faults in others and excusing or overlooking my own faults. This has stopped since I was able to accept my Lord's forgiveness and after being able to forgive. I am more patient and loving and understanding with others. Before, I would force myself, but now, love, patience and understanding flows freely out of me. This brings me great joy and happiness.

I encourage all of you to help this ministry so that they may continue to be used as valuable instruments of our Lord to save the lives of babies, to help pregnant women and also to bring spiritual healing to those women like me whose heart also stopped beating when they had the abortion. Women like me that fell for the lie. I humbly unite with the Heartbeat of Miami team as a financial supporter and a volunteer.

Thank you for allowing me to share my painful testimony and my triumph of total redemption. May God continue to bless all of you. My heart is grateful and full of love because of Christ Jesus.

Yilians Martinez

2011 noviembre

Queridos Amigos,

Yilians Martinez

A Grandma's Heart Changed At Heartbeat of Miami

November 2011

Para Español

Dear Friends,

Heartbeat of Miami has received over 17,300 visits from women in our community seeking assistance, counseling, encouragement, solutions, guidance, training and much more. Thousands of these women found themselves in an unplanned pregnancy in danger of making decisions that would have altered the course of their lives forever. To the glory of God, Heartbeat of Miami has been there to point them to the right Savior working together with them to find positive solutions in the midst of their crisis. Parenting and adoption are the solutions! A woman with an unplanned pregnancy does not need an abortion...she needs love and support!

The only way we can help these women is through the prayers, the volunteers and the financial support from people like you who believe that abortion is never an option! Regardless of the amount, large or small, we need every bit of it to help rescue precious babies and transform the lives of their moms. Cynthia is one of these precious young ladies whose life was changed because of the work of Heartbeat of Miami.

Cynthia came to our clinic scared and deeply wounded. She was facing an unplanned pregnancy, but there was more. Five years before, at 15 years old, Cynthia had been 20 weeks pregnant and was forced to have an abortion. The memory of what she had gone through during that abortion had haunted her every single day of her young life. She had resentment towards her family and everyone else that had something to do with that abortion. How could she confront her family again? She was still living at home and going to college. As she sat in our counseling room all she could do was cry and say "I do not want to kill my baby but I am here to abort because I do not have another choice." Little did she know that our Lord had brought her to the right place where abortion is never an option.

Our ultrasound revealed Cynthia was 12 weeks pregnant and when she saw her baby on that ultrasound screen she was in awe. Her baby lifted her little hand and waved at her mommy. We could not contain our tears. Cynthia boldly stood up and said "I am having my baby regardless of what happens to me." We asked her to bring her mother and the very next day Cynthia did exactly as we asked.

We shared with her mother the fetal development of Cynthia's baby. We then invited her to see an ultrasound of her grandchild. It was right there during the ultrasound that repentance and forgiveness took place. Mother and daughter cried intensely and God's mercy and grace filled the room. Cynthia forgave her mother for making her abort her first child and her mother re-dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, both asking the Lord for forgiveness. She told Cynthia, "I did not know better. How I wish we would have had a clinic like this at that time. Oh God please forgive me." The tears of pain turned to tears of joy, hope and redemption. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13.

Little J'Nya Nicole was born just a year ago and grandma baby-sits while Cynthia continues in college pursuing a career in law. Cynthia loves being a mom and she stood up at our Fundraising Banquet to thank those that attended for all their support. Now that her baby is older, Cynthia will also participate in our post abortion recovery program. Our labor is full circle and all of this is the fruit of the seeds sown into this ministry.

Would you please help us? I am asking for your urgent help on behalf of all the innocent little children at risk to be aborted, just like Little J'Nya Nicole. We need your financial support to save these lives! Please donate now! By the time you finish reading this email ...understand that over 237 innocent babies will be aborted in Florida...in just one day! This means more than 10 babies in every hour, more than 1 baby every 6 minutes! The majority of these abortions will occur right here in Miami-Dade County.

You can help me do something about it right now with your support. With your monthly gifts of any amount God leads you to give, we can continue this labor. All your donations are tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes and you will receive a receipt for each one. But most of all, our Lord will reward you for helping us save lives. "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

After taking action, please do not just delete this email; forward it to your family, friends, and pastors. Tell them how you just took action to help make a difference in our community by supporting Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics. Invite them to visit our website, www.heartbeatofmiami.org and encourage them to donate to this life-saving work.

God bless you for blessing us!

Queridos Amigos,

No pudimos contener nuestras lágrimas.

The Gift That Keeps on Giving

September 2011

Para Español

Dear Friends,

Your financial gifts to Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Help Medical Clinics are "Gifts that keep on Giving." These gifts continue producing through time. "A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great." Proverbs 18:16. Nati is a perfect example of this.

Over two years ago, Nati, the daughter of one of our dear volunteers that had served at our Hialeah Clinic since it first opened, found herself in an unplanned pregnancy at 18 years old. Raised in a Christian home she knew very well the sanctity of human life and what the Bible said about abortion. However, she was scared and embarrassed to face her mother, father and even us...the Christian community. Her baby was conceived under difficult and painful circumstances, and the thought of abortion continuously haunted her but her love for Christ was stronger. Nati remembered she was not alone and regardless how her baby was conceived, it was a life she had no right to end. She knew that Heartbeat of Miami would help her; she knew we would do whatever it took to save her baby. She also knew her mother's love would help her and God's love and mercy would cover a multitude of sin. Nati had little resources but big faith. She confessed the situation to her mother Pilar and both came to our Hialeah Clinic to confirm the pregnancy. Right there, in the counseling room where her mother had helped so many other girls, her daughter Nati sat with our counselors to share her story.

Baby Samuel was born on August 19, 2009, and what joy he has brought to this family and to Heartbeat of Miami as well. Nati became more and more involved with Pilar volunteering at our clinics and she became one of our client testimonies in different church events and radio programs hoping to help other young ladies facing a similar situation. She even served as a model in our Promotional DVD "A Virtual Tour of our Clinics."

A year after little Samuel was born, Pilar and Nati had to return to Bogota Colombia because their temporary visa was going to expire. We were all very sad because of our friendship and the great volunteer work Pilar and Nati performed at Heartbeat of Miami. Pilar had two very important roles. She was a Volunteer Coordinator and Post-Abortion Recovery Leader. Before she left, she took it upon herself to prepare and train Pina who now has taken over that volunteer job. We never lacked coverage in both of those areas thanks to the great training Pilar gave her.

At first, we didn't quite understand why God allowed Pilar, Nati and Samuel to leave the United States and go back to Colombia. Well, it all became very clear this past August. Thanks to Pilar and a group of people in Colombia very interested in saving the lives of the unborn, I was invited to go to Colombia. They were interested in the life saving work we are doing here in Miami. They are concerned because, even though abortion is still "illegal" in Colombia, it is flooded with abortion businesses waiting for abortion to be completely legal. Abortions are being performed under the "legal" excuses but in reality anyone can have an abortion and the "emergency abortion pill" is being distributed completely free and is not considered as an abortion method.

Two of our Board Members, Rev. Ricardo Gallinar and Pina Yadonisi also went with me. We visited two cities, Bogota and Libano Colombia. We were asked to speak to over 500 people in different sessions. We were interviewed in a TV station and on two different radio programs. We spoke to students in two different schools and also spoke to parents. The message was clear, "life saving help in a life changing way."

Catholics and Evangelicals opened their homes, offices, and their resources to us so that we could share with them our success in saving lives. Most and foremost, they opened their heart to this wonderful ministry that God was using to save the lives of innocent babies here in Miami. They wanted to learn from us so that they could do the same in their city, in their country. One woman at a time! They felt God's call to help save physical and spiritual lives through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In conclusion, Pilar will train and will work with different groups in both Bogota and Libano Colombia. She will pour on them everything she learned here at Heartbeat of Miami. Her passion, love for the unborn and the trial she endured, will be used by God to save many lives in Colombia. Nati will continue to share her testimony of choosing life for her baby regardless of the circumstances and God will be glorified when they see little Samuel. Pilar and Nati will have the opportunity to help "rescue those being taken away to death and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter." Proverbs 24:11. God will use them in Colombia the same way He used them here at Heartbeat of Miami.

Now we understand why Pilar and Nati had to return to their country. God had a perfect plan for them. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Please join me in praising God for His goodness.

You have been a very important part of this testimony. Thanks to your financial gift, Heartbeat of Miami was able to help Nati during her pregnancy. Thanks to you, Samuel celebrated his two years of life. Only God really knows how many more lives Pilar and Nati will also help save, and perhaps one day, God will use Samuel as well.
For those of you that already send your monthly financial gift to support this work, I have no words to express my gratitude. Our Lord will pour out His blessings upon you for helping us to save so many lives.

If you have not signed up to give your monthly gift, this is your opportunity to do it today. The amount does not matter. God will multiply it. You can securely do it by entering here DONATE NOW. If you prefer, please send your check or money order to our new Administration Office location, 301 Westward Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166.

Thank you for your gifts that will ALWAYS KEEP ON GIVING! All your gifts are tax-deductible.

God bless you,

2011 septiembre

Queridos Amigos,
